The first film by director Hoang Tho brings together a young cast including Bich Ngoc, Luong Gia Huy, Thai Tra My and Dung Bino, attracting attention with a series of bold "hot" scenes interspersed with messages about modern society.
The film opens with the story of writer Hiep (Dung Bino) and his girlfriend Trang (Thai Tra My) on a vacation at a resort on the mountain at the invitation of the owner Ngoc (Bich Ngoc). Here, they met Long (Luong Gia Huy) - Trang's ex-husband. The seemingly chance encounter arouses the past with many emotions, revealing the dark secrets between four people caught up in the spiral of desire and sin.
Director Hoang Tho said that it took him three years to complete the film Bat mat bat ai because he wanted "each frame to have a purpose and emotions". Explaining the postponement of the broadcast schedule from September to October 31, he frankly said that he wanted to avoid facing the Red Rain, "box office phenomenon" at the same time. According to him, the work not only has an 18+ element but also reflects the dark side of society, where people blindly pursue material things and lose themselves.

At the event, the actors shared many interesting behind-the-scenes stories. Bich Ngoc admitted that she was under a lot of pressure when filming a hot scene for the first time, but believed in the director's delicate direction. She said: "I used to be shy when I reviewed my scenes, but each segment had a psychological meaning for the characters, not for customers".
Luong Gia Huy revealed the nude scene on screen for the first time, saying that he was shocked when watching the film again. Meanwhile, Thai Tra My burst into tears after the fierce scene because she was too caught up in the role, while Dung Bino joked that "the hot scene is just a small matter" compared to the inner scenes of the rift.
Despite the controversy over many sexy scenes, the film "Bim mat catching" is still expected by filmmakers to be an impressive first impression for director Hoang Tho on the film screen, with the harmony between artistic elements and humane messages.
