Tran Thanh appeared alongside a series of prominent artists such as Huynh Lap, Thai Hoa, Ngo Kien Huy, Kaity Nguyen and Nguyen Quang Dung.
According to the producer, these artists take on guest roles, contributing to creating a rare "fun" color on the Vietnamese screen. Gathering a cast of stars from many generations is considered a difference of the film, especially in the context of content revolving around the film industry itself.
Director Phan Gia Nhat Linh said that the idea of inviting many famous artists came from the desire to recreate the showbiz world in a lively way. "This is a film about the filmmaking profession, so we want the audience to feel closeness and familiarity when seeing familiar faces on screen," he shared.
Tran Thanh's presence is considered one of the factors creating great media attraction. The male artist is associated with many hundred-billion film projects, so every time he appears, he receives attention from the audience. Besides, Thai Hoa - a familiar face of Vietnamese comedy films - along with Huynh Lap, Ngo Kien Huy or Kaity Nguyen also bring diverse colors to the guest segments.
Not only stopping at the cameo cast, "Blood Moon Party 8" also has a large main cast with Van Son, Miu Le, Lien Binh Phat, Le Khanh, Hong Anh, Hua Vi Van... creating a true "grand party".
The film's content revolves around director Tam OK (played by Van Son) - who is labeled as a "junk film" and is determined to implement a meticulous project to prove his ability. However, this journey continuously encounters chaotic, funny and tearful situations on the film set.
The special feature of the work is the "film in film" motif, and there is also the participation of the crew members themselves in small roles. Producer Charlie Nguyen said that this is a way to honor the silent people behind the camera.
Blood Moon Party 8" directed by Phan Gia Nhat Linh, produced by Charlie Nguyen, is expected to have an early screening from April 23 and officially hit theaters from April 24.
