The movie "The Third Party Is Not at Fault?" chooses to exploit an old topic, however director Tran Buu Loc believes that the movie will give the audience a new perspective on marriage and the third person.
“When working on an old topic, sometimes a different name or something is needed. The title of the film focuses on the question of why the mistress is not at fault. I want to convey a message and a story that the audience can see themselves in. Each family has a different story,” said the director.
In response to the mixed reactions from the audience about the role of the mistress before the film aired, Trinh My Duyen shared: “When I read the title, I was quite hesitant. My role will make the audience uncomfortable if they have not seen it. The film script makes me excited, completely different from previous projects.”
Trinh My Duyen also revealed an interesting point when filming with Quoc Huy: "Every time I film with Huy, I always smile, even in romantic scenes. The two of us cheated on our facial angles to not smile, causing the director to have to remind us."
As for Ammy Minh Khue, she is not pressured by the audience's reaction because she plays the role of the "first wife". The actress finds the story of the film very real, similar to what she and her family have experienced.
“People often assume that the third party is at fault. But in my opinion, when a family breaks up, there is a chance for the third person,” Minh Khue affirmed.
