The trailer opens with a haunting "soul bridge" scene of Thuy (Hoang Kim Ngoc). After the mysterious ceremony, she suddenly fell into a state of panic, making Mrs. Hien (Thanh Hang) believe that the soul of her late husband was residing in the Thisop that her son Quy (Quang Tuan) had picked up from the river. From here, ghostly phenomena began to appear. The bicep floated, making strange sounds and creating a deadly atmosphere over the house.
It was thought that Mrs. Hien's family would find peace again when Quynh (Van Trang), Quan's (Huynh Dong) wife, announced that she was pregnant, but tragedy came. Quynh was suspected of being " revenge", while Mrs. Hien believed that her soul in danger had "saved my mother and children".
The peak was when Quynh claimed that the pregnancy in her belly was not her husband's but was done by a ghost, causing her to suffer "terror" from her mother-in-law and husband. During the execution, Quan (Huynh Dong) strangled his wife, while Quynh was determined to jump into the river and commit suicide. The image of Quang Tuan crying in the river, along with the black water flowing from the sack, made the trailer end in a suffocating atmosphere.
The highlight of the trailer is the soundtrack song performed by Hoai Lam, appearing in the ending, bringing deep and haunting emotions. This song will be officially released just a few days after the film premiered.
Director Truong Dung shared: "Ghost House is not only a spiritual film but also reflects in the psychology of Vietnamese families where trust, prejudice and invisible fear can make people fascinated." He said that the script was inspired by the folk legend of the highlands, where people believe that souls can abide in familiar objects.
With the participation of Thanh Hang, Huynh Dong, Quang Tuan, Van Trang, Lan Thy, Hoang Kim Ngoc, the film promises to bring a scary but profound story about family love, trust and crime.
The movie "House of Drunken Women" is a spiritual, family genre, expected to air early from 8:00 p.m. on October 22 and officially premiere from October 24, 2025.
