People's Artist Ngoc Thu is one of the familiar faces of Vietnamese theater. She used to hold the position of Director of the Military Drama Theater.
Currently, she appears in the TV series "Living to Love".
Talking about her role, People's Artist Ngoc Thu shared: "My character in the movie "Living to Love" is Mrs. Mai - a woman with 3 daughters, each of them has a different personality but What they have in common is rebellion. Mrs. Mai has a weak husband who sings every day.
When I read the script, I felt very confused because I didn't know how to build my character. Until the first day of meeting the actors of the movie, Diep Bao Ngoc ran to greet me and said, "You are my child." Naturally, I had confidence that I would fulfill this role well."
People's Artist Ngoc Thu said that although she has played many mother roles, this is a more special role. The role of mother she takes on can be compared to the image of a mother hen fluffing her wings to protect her child, a mother ready to kneel down to beg the person her child made a mistake. "And of course, in real life, I don't have 3 daughters and a husband like in the movie" - the female artist happily shared.
Participating in the movie "Living to Love", People's Artist Ngoc Thu worked with a cast of young actors such as Diep Bao Ngoc, Ngoc Huyen, Quoc Anh... The female artist said that through the process of contact, she realized that the young actors In the film, there is an acting style that is in tune with modernity, "acting like not acting".
In addition, the young people also helped the actress in the process of researching the script, helping her see the good elements of the script that only her co-stars can help her with.
Regarding Diep Bao Ngoc - the actress who plays Anh Duong's daughter, People's Artist Ngoc Thu has the most affectionate feelings, she said: "On the set, the actors had to film with very high intensity, close to each other. Like everyone is stressed. And Diep Bao Ngoc is someone who always makes jokes to create a comfortable atmosphere for the actors before each scene. When filming, Ngoc has a very serious and professional way of working. After the movie ended, Ngoc still texted and called me to check on me, inviting me to attend movie premieres in Hanoi. More specifically, not only in the movie but now in real life, Ngoc still calls me "mother" very dearly."
