Meritorious Artist Huong Giang said that the reason for choosing folk music from the three regions inspires students: "I am lucky to be born into a family with a tradition of artistic activities, to have grown up right in the homeland of Vi Giam folk music and to have had more than 30 years of professional art activities in all three regions of the North - Central - South. That, helped me have the opportunity to realize that folk songs are the soul of Vietnamese culture, which needs to be preserved and promoted in the context of integration.
The diversity in sounds and melodies of the folk songs of the three regions creates an invaluable treasure for students to freely explore and create, while deeply connecting with the origin of the nation.
Folk songs and songs with folk melodies are not only a challenge to practice vocal techniques but also an opportunity for the younger generation to understand history and culture, thereby raising their sense of responsibility for the heritage of their ancestors.
Moreover, I see great potential in combining traditional folk music with contemporary elements, creating unique music products with both artistic and economic value...".

When asked about many views that young artists who follow folk music will find it difficult to succeed and become stars, Meritorious Artist Huong Giang said that although this path is thorny and difficult to bring young artists to the pinnacle of fame, after more than 30 years of being involved in traditional music, the female singer has a deep belief in folk music and believes that this view needs to be acknowledged.
" folk songs are not a barrier, but the golden key to opening new horizons for the careers of young people with true passion and aspiration for art" - the female artist added.
To prove that, Meritorious Artist Huong Giang gave 3 reasons: First, in the context of increasingly saturated modern music, audiences, especially young people, desire to find their original cultural values.
Second, folk songs and songs with folk sounds are an endless treasure for you to freely create. Don't think that folk songs are a model, a repetition.
Third, pursuing folk music not only helps you develop your career in the country but also opens up opportunities to reach out to the world.
Meritorious Artist Huong Giang developed a scientific topic "Improving the quality of performance methods for songs with folk sounds of the three regions", for the female artist this is not only a research work, but also her passion and concern for the future of traditional Vietnamese music.
"To make folk songs truly lively and spreading in modern life, we need to build a solid foundation based on three key pillars: Education and training, scientific research and performing practice... These three pillars cannot be separated, but must be closely combined and supported by each other. A good educational program needs to be based on methodical scientific research and verified through actual performance" - the female artist confided.
Previously, on June 30, the Military University of Culture and Arts held a acceptance ceremony for the scientific topic "Improving the quality of performance methods for some songs with folk sounds of the three regions at the Military University of Culture and Arts".
