In this new staging, the creative team chose the "inspired" form, maintaining the core spirit of the original work but adjusting the structure, tempo and narration to better suit today's audience tastes.
The play is written by Thach Ngoc Hoang, directed by Ngoc Duyen, with artistic advice from People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau. Instead of focusing heavily on conventional performances like traditional cai luong, the new version focuses on exploiting psychological depth, increasing drama and creating close emotional connection with modern audiences.
