Her journey of "swming" in art is a series of days of persistent learning, constantly striving to become a meticulous artist, devoted to the audience.
Sharing with MC Minh Ngoc, Meritorious Artist Tuyet Thu said that since childhood she has been passionate about Cai Luong, especially admiring veteran artists such as Thanh Nga, Dieu Hien... That passion motivated her to compete in the School of Stage Arts, majoring in Cai Luong. When she was a second-year student, she was given the main role in the play Co gioi - a graduation work by director Truong Dung, marking the first turning point that brought her to the professional stage.
In addition to studying and performing, Tuyet Thu also studied dance and practiced her physical expression skills. It is the spirit of improvement that helps her become a versatile artist, able to sing, act and dance. After graduating, she almost joined the cai luong group of Military Region 9, but had to stop because of her mother's worries. After that, she was invited by Mr. Thai Ly to participate in a folk music and dance program, then joined Ms. Kim Quy's dance group and the Ho Chi Minh City Symphony Music and Drama Theater.
In 1996, Tuyet Thu joined the Ho Chi Minh City Drama Troupe, under the leadership of People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau. After that, she worked on the 5B stage and later the Hoang Thai Thanh stage - where she continued to affirm her name. "Some people say my artistic path is too much, but I thank that much. Thanks to that, I learned many things from Cai Luong, dance, drama to cinema, she confided.
A major turning point in Tuyet Thu's television career was the role of Dr. Oanh in the movie "White Blouse" - a work of more than 70 episodes that created a big buzz and brought her name closer to the public. Since then, she has been associated with the image of a gentle, emotional mother, but the role of Mrs. 11 in The Song Saigon is the character that makes her most excited because it is different and stronger.
For Meritorious Artist Tuyet Thu, the most important thing is not reputation but responsibility for the profession: "Each role is not only the success of an individual, but also the pride of the crew and the audience who love me".
