In recent episodes, the characters of assassin Quoc Quan (Sy Toan) and Bich Tram (Phi Ngoc Anh) have been on the air quite a bit.
At this point, the screenwriter gradually revealed the tragic story behind when both were pursued by their adoptive father, a drug lord. Bich Tram fell into the hands of her adoptive father and was tortured mercilessly.
Quoc Quan, with the help of Kim Anh (Ha Anh), saves her from danger. This is also the moment when a murderer explodes with emotion. She demands intense affection from Quoc Quan, only to receive a great shock when she learns that the two are actually blood brothers, and their fathers were both victims of Ma Tai.
Sharing about this emotional scene, Phi Ngoc Anh revealed: “Filming that scene, I was like possessed. I couldn’t stop crying. Even when director Nguyen Duong signaled to cut, I still sobbed uncontrollably.
Perhaps because I sympathized too much with the character Bich Tram, a woman who was blinded by love. When she learned the truth, she completely collapsed, feeling as if the whole world had disappeared. From that moment on, the character Bich Tram no longer had a reason to continue living.
Not only her, but her co-star Sy Toan was also affected by the heavy emotions of the scene. And he himself spent nearly 30 minutes comforting and encouraging Anh to escape from the heavy psychology of the character.
Audiences recall that when the film was released, Phi Ngoc Anh revealed that her role revolved around the two words "unhappiness".
And now, they truly feel the pain that Bich Tram had to endure: Her family was murdered, she loved the wrong brother, and accepted her enemy as her father. What could be more painful than that?
Not only Bich Tram, the character Quoc Quan played by Sy Toan also has a fate that is no less miserable. He was taken advantage of by his adoptive father, had a one-sided love for his youngest sister Kim Anh but was always the one who came later.
His coldness was also partly to hide his secret pain. And now he was numb when witnessing the painful moment and noble sacrifice of his sister.
Sy Toan and Phi Ngoc Anh have worked well together on screen many times with fierce action scenes, but this is the first time they have had to get into such a dramatic mood.
Sy Toan shared: "Luckily, we have been together in many projects for more than 10 years, so nurturing the emotions for this psychological scene went quite smoothly. After 4 filmings, we received the director's approval for our explosive acting."
