At the beginning of the film, afraid that Hong (Tu Vi) would misunderstand everything between him and his ex-wife, Phan (Truong Minh Quoc Thai) apologized to Hong, but she advised him to worry about Liet (Dung Bino) and not to make Liet sad by forcing the boy to be away from his mother.
At the same time, he advised him to ask Liet's mother what she really wanted.
Not only Phan, but also Mr. Hung (People's Artist Thanh Hoi) and Mrs. Nha (Artist Ai Nhu) looked embarrassed and worried that Hong would be sad, so they tried to comfort her. Hong remained calm while Mrs. Nha burst into tears because "everything is so messed up now".
Meanwhile, Hong (Ly Na Trang) begins to approach her son. Seeing Liet being close to Duyen (Duong Gia My), Hong wonders and learns that he is Hong's mother's son, and excitedly shows off that Hong's mother is teacher Hong. Hong is slightly surprised to learn that Phan's second wife has the same name as her.
Liet was still carefree and excited to show off that teacher Hong had the same name as his mother, Nguyen Thi Bich Hong.
Hong took Liet out for lunch. Liet said he ate little because he wanted to go home and have dinner with Mrs. Nha and Ms. Hong because they cooked very well. Hong was a little unhappy when her son kept mentioning Mrs. Nha and Ms. Hong. She confided her wish, "My last wish in life is to see you every day, hear you call me, see you happy..."
As soon as he learned that Liet's mother wanted to return to her home, Phan was extremely angry, "Don't even dream about it. Why would you come here to live?"
