To make Quyen and her father close the bakery and sell the land, Mrs. Tu Lan's return is Vu and Chau's new trick.
Infiltrating Quyen's (Le Ha Anh) banh tet bakery, Mr. Ba Binh (Quach Ho Ninh) took the opportunity to add rancid substances to the water used to make the cakes spoil quickly, causing the bakery to lose its reputation.
Jealous of Quyen's family, Mr. Tu Sang (Linh Trung) and Mrs. Tam Hanh (Ngoc Lan) opened Ben Say bakery, following the Ben Say banh tet brand, selling at a discount and stealing all of Quyen's customers.
Partly, Mrs. Tam used food coloring and spoiled frozen meat to make the cakes, causing the cakes to be of poor quality, causing customers to think that Ben Say's cakes were not delicious, so they complained and canceled orders en masse.
In the meantime, difficulties pile up when the bank does not approve the loan application of Mr. Nam Huu (Ngoc Thao), the creditor of Quyen's family, who is bribed by Chau (Mai Tam Nhu), who comes to collect the debt, finding an excuse to destroy the bakery.
Fortunately, Phu (Huynh Quy) stepped in to pay off the debt and help Quyen's family escape the "boiling oil and fire" situation.
The story of Minh using Bao's name to raise the issue of buying land caused a stir throughout Ben Say. Mrs. Hue (Tuyet Thu) was worried, not knowing what Mrs. Thanh (Thuy Ha) and her daughter were plotting with Bao, so she asked Vu (Thanh Duy) about the truth of everything.
Vu deliberately told Mrs. Hue that the land purchase and construction of Ben Say bridge was Bao's idea. Bao had come to his senses and was just acting to turn the family property game around with Mrs. Thanh and her children.
Knowing that Quyen's greatest wish is to find her mother, Bao has secretly hired a detective to search for Mrs. Tu Lan (Mai Chinh).
So far, the detective has found Mrs. Tu Lan in a state of amnesia due to a work accident, so she has not been able to contact her family for nearly ten years. Bao is not comfortable coming forward at this time, so he asked Vu to help him arrange to bring Mrs. Tu Lan back to her hometown to reunite with her family.
Quyen's many tricks to destroy the bakery all failed in the end. The bakery continued to operate and created jobs for the households, so they did not want to sell the land. Chau had no way to buy Ben Say land and had to ask Vu for help.
