This is an event marking the end of one of the typical youth cinema support programs between Vietnam and Korea.
Within the framework of the program, the 5 best short films of season 6 were shown for the first time at IMAX theater, including: The Green Days (director Vu Trung Duc), Lach Cach (director Le Hoang), made in Vietnam (director Nguyen Duy Anh), Utopia (director Cam Duc Hiep) and Gioi mo la voc sen (director Nguyen Thien An).
These are projects selected from more than 400 submissions from across the country, reflecting the diversity in creative perspectives and storytelling of the young generation of Vietnamese directors.
After 6 seasons, the CJ Short Film Project has supported the production of 30 short films and accompanied 32 young directors. Many completed works from the program have been screened and won awards at more than 60 prestigious international film festivals, contributing to bringing Vietnamese cinema closer to international friends.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang - Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) highly appreciated the role of the project in discovering and nurturing young talents. He said that many mature directors from the program such as Pham Thien An, Pham Ngoc Lan, Duong Dieu Linh have made a clear impression at international film festivals, showing the positive contribution of Vietnamese cinema on the world cinema map.
Not only supporting the total filmmaking budget of up to 1.5 billion VND, young directors are also provided with professional advice by experienced filmmakers such as Phan Dang Di, Charlie Nguyen, Trinh Dinh Le Minh, Tran Thanh Huy and producer Tran Thi Bich Ngoc.
In addition, within the framework of the event, the Ho Chi Minh City audience also had the opportunity to interact with Korean directors, listen to share about their career journey and behind-the-scenes stories, contributing to enhancing cultural exchanges and Vietnam - Korea cinema cooperation.
