One of the most emotional scenes was the couple's proposal in a couple box by Mr. Sac Lo Tinh (artist Thanh Hoi) for Mrs. Tue Tam (artist Ai Nhu).
The film revolves around the life of Mrs. Tam - a single mother who sacrificed her life for her son (Tran Kim Hai), but is still lonely in her old age. While the mother-son relationship was tense, she went to the coffin shed to prepare for the funeral, where Mr. Sac Lo Tinh - a close friend of many years. They accompany each other in morning exercise sessions, in small stories, sharing loneliness and empathy that are rare in old age.
In the scene that made the audience "laugh out of tears", Mr. Tinh decorated the two pairs of boxes with red bows and sparkling candles, then cleverly said: "I bought two pieces of land next to each other in the cemetery. Later, I would like to lie next to Tam". The proposal is simple but contains a deep and sincere heart, both funny and absorbing, true to the spirit of black comedy that the film pursues.
However, Mrs. Tam still could not open her heart. Inside her strong appearance are unhealed injuries, making her dare not to grasp her happiness. That story makes viewers sympathize: to love and be loved, sometimes it takes a whole life of courage to let go of the past.
