Mrs. An (Phuc An), with her harsh personality and ambition to control, asked her son Nhat Lam (Nguyen Vu) to give up his passion for sculpting to become a support for the family.
However, Nhat Lam flatly refused, expressing his anger, saying that his mother had never respected his ambition. The controversy escalated when Mrs. An disappointed Nhat Lam in blaming him for his selfishness, even bitterly calling him and Thu Tra the "profession" of her life.
This harshness makes Hai (Quoc Truong Thinh) bitterly realize that it was Mrs. An's harshness that could be the reason for Thu Tra (Ngan Hoa) to leave her family and find another man. He blamed himself for not being able to be by Thu Tra's side at her weakest moments.
Submerged in pain, Hai went to the painting studio he designed to give to Thu Tra. This place used to be a symbol of their love, but now there are only patchwork memories left. The remorse and indifference further motivated Hai to continue investigating Trong Si (Vu Manh Cuong).
When he suspected that the strange house that Trong Si owned could be a place to hide evidence, he went to the Dr. company to cooperate with Linh (Tuong Vi). But Linh, struggling to cope with pressure and hurt, refused his offer. Her silence was like a knife cutting in Hai's determination.
Meanwhile, the police summoned Huyen and her mother to clarify new details. At the questioning, Huyen (Huynh Nhu Dan) and Mrs. Nhu (Thu Tuyet) did not hesitate to blame Linh, accusing her of frequently bullying Trong Si.
They hinted that it was Linh's suspicion and jealousy that pushed Trong Si into a dead end. A clue suddenly appeared when the police discovered it on his birthday, Trong Si secretly met Thu Tra at a coffee shop, opening up another hidden corner in the complicated relationship between the characters.
Linh was also summoned to clarify the incident. She stated that Trong Si had said he was busy and would not come home that evening, forcing her to invite Huyen to have dinner on his behalf. However, Linh could not hide her confusion when she felt suspicious eyes from both the police and Hai. It seems that every event is seeping her into a spiral of sin.
The film revealed many important clues about Trong Si's accident.
