Tran Minh Dung was born in 1987, originally from Can Tho, and grew up in a family with no traditional arts. With a passion for singing, he decided to go to Ho Chi Minh City to pursue a career.
In the early days, he joined a boy band, trying his hand at many genres from revolutionary music, youth music to vibrant music. At that time, he was very happy because after a performance, the amount of catra he received was up to several million VND.
After a while, his performance and singing skills became more and more perfect. However, the male singer suddenly decided to temporarily stop his singing career and return to his hometown because he felt confused and disoriented.
"At that time, whoever asked me to sing that song, I sang that song. I simply thought that standing on stage for a few minutes would bring in a big income, but I decided to stop because I was at a dead end. At that time, I returned to Can Tho to find another job to make ends meet," he confided.
Tran Minh Dung once lost sleep due to negative comments about his voice, fashion style and performance. He once doubted the path he had chosen and was heartbroken when he saw his peers developing. But then he told himself: "I don't think I sing well, I just think I can sing, my appearance is fine. Try to improve your voice, do a good job and live a good life, just wait until fate comes."
After that, the male singer applied to work at the Tay Do Theater and accepted a modest salary. During his time working here, in addition to performing political and revolutionary songs, he also took advantage of his free time to do many other jobs to make ends meet.
The big turning point in Tran Minh Dung's career came in 2016, when he decided to participate in a music competition. Not only impressing with his warm voice, the 8x male singer also attracted the audience with his romantic appearance, affectionately called "Bi Rain Vietnam". Since then, Tran Minh Dung's name has become more widely known.
After many years of singing, Tran Minh Dung admitted that his income has improved significantly, even though he is currently still renting a house and riding a technology car. However, he is proud to be able to comfortably spend and buy gifts for his parents and relatives.
At the age of 38, while his career was on the rise, Tran Minh Dung admitted that his love life was still full of difficulties.
After winning the title of "Love Story Telling person" season 8, Tran Minh Dung said he will release music products and collaborate with musicians. He also intends to try other music genres to attract more audiences.
