At the press conference to launch the Miss Sea Vietnam Global 2025 contest in Ha Long, this afternoon (6.3), a representative of the Organizing Committee of the contest said that they have officially opened the entrance exam gate and received the contestants' application from January 25, 2025 to May 1, 2025 at the Miss Sea Vietnam Global fanpage.
The preliminary round in the South and North will select 36 candidates for the Final Round, scheduled to take place from May 23 to June 7, 2025. The final night will be held at Bai Chay Tourist Area, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province. The organizing committee hopes that many overseas Vietnamese contestants will register to participate as at the Miss Sea Vietnam Global contest.
The contest aims to honor the beauty of Vietnamese women associated with the image of the homeland's sea in the era of international integration; is a practical activity to promote the image of beautiful Vietnamese sea, with great potential for economy, tourism and contributing to promoting community activities for a Vietnam with global integration and sustainable development.
In addition to beauty contests, the Organizing Committee will build rich and highly interactive companionship activities that make practical contributions to the community. With the goal of promoting and developing Vietnam's tourism industry, especially Vietnam's sea tourism and joining hands to do charity work, the contest will contribute to enriching and diversifying cultural exchange activities of young people in the country. Thereby, a network of information sharing and practical support was established, linking the interests of candidates with domestic and foreign partners.
Explaining why the Miss Sea Vietnam Global contest was held in 2018 but has only been reorganized, the representative of the Organizing Committee said that partly due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has caused economic difficulties, but partly due to too many beauty contests, the Organizing Committee wants to invest carefully to make the contest more effective and have more influence...
In particular, it is not simply about finding beauties, but the contest also aims to promote and stimulate tourism, at least for the locality - where the contest takes place.
According to Mr. Nguyen The Hue - Chairman of the Quang Ninh Tourism Association - in 2025, Quang Ninh province will have about 170 tourism stimulus events, including 24 national and international events and the Miss Sea Vietnam 2025 contest is one of them.
With many events within the framework of the Miss Sea Vietnam Global 2025 contest, we believe the contest will actively contribute to stimulating tourism in Quang Ninh Mr. Hue said.
