In the film, Ji Seung Hyun plays Baek Sung-chul, a notorious veteran general of the Deoksu gang, who was sentenced to murder in revenge for his fiancee and had to flee for 15 years in China. With only 30 days left for prosecution, he decided to return to Korea, choosing to hide in the remote countryside of Susam-ri. To hide his identity, Baek Sung-chul disguised himself as the lost son of a lost old lady, forced to become a "mother's good son" among a poor village community.
From here, a series of funny and sad situations occurred when a notorious gangster had to play a gentle role, living in the trust of the people and being caught up in the movement of opposing the construction of dams to protect the ecological environment.
