Sharing about the role of Mrs. Mai after the stroke, artist Thanh Hien could not hide her excitement. However, she also admitted that this was a big challenge. The first time she transformed into an old person who had a stroke, Thanh Hien had to face the task of continuously speaking with a crooked mouth for many hours.
To perfect her role, she used unconventional methods such as sucking on cassava to create a distorted mouth. Although not visually pleasing, her efforts helped make the character more vivid and realistic.
One of the most impressive scenes is the scene where Mrs. Mai crawls in the rain. To get the desired footage, Thanh Hien did not hesitate to repeat the scene up to 10 times. For her, Mrs. Mai's death is not only the end of a character but also a profound message about cause and effect: "Good deeds will be rewarded, what you sow will be what you reap". It is a worthy ending for Mrs. Mai's wrongdoings.
In addition to the role of Mrs. Mai in "Ambition for Wealth", Thanh Hien is also loved by the audience for her impressive acting in other films such as: "Thu Bua" in "Stepmother", the capricious Thien Kim in "Canh Gambling of Love", or the maid Dau in "Nghiep Sinh Tu"...
As for actress Le Tam Trieu Dang, who plays Thanh Truc, she shared: "I was lucky to experience deep emotions right from the first scenes. Being able to express the pain of loss when my family was in trouble, especially the passing of my mother, helped me to suppress and fully express the complex emotions inside."
In addition, the enthusiastic support from seniors Thanh Hien and Yeye Nhat Ha inspired and helped actor Le Tam Trieu Dang get into character more naturally.
Finally, with the investment and dedication that the crew has given to the film as well as this being Le Tam Trieu Dang's first role in an old film, she hopes that the audience will always love and support all the cast in the film.
The movie "Ambition for Wealth" is broadcast at 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday on THVL1.
