Rapper Coldzy officially released a deluxe album called Medicine: Detox, concluding the musical journey opened from his debut album Medicine (2024). This is one of the rare deluxe albums in the Vietnamese market, marking Coldzy as the first Vietnamese rapper to release this genre.
The album Medicine: Detox consists of 15 songs, including all original tracks and 3 new tracks: Bleed, Everyday and Scene404. Of which, Bleed is a collaboration product with rapper HURRYKNG, a single that paved the way for the album and quickly attracted audiences. Everyday was originally written by Coldzy in 2022 but was only completed and included in the deluxe version after being positively received by the audience in live performances.
Notably, Scene404 is Coldzy's first ballad in his career. The song has the meaning of wordplay from the phrase "404 error" to " apologization", with lyrics with many emotions and powerful vocals. This ballad surprised the audience, even rapper Dangrangto admitted to "colding" after listening, while BigDaddy and Double2T gave him many compliments.
Sharing about the album, Coldzy said: I want to write a complete ending to the Medicine journey. Through music, I hope to convey the message of self-healing, gratitude and openness to receive the positive. The male rapper continues to collaborate with producer Minsicko, who has accompanied him since the original album, to create arrangements that are both modern and have their own style.
Previously, Medicine reached more than 12 million streams, holding the No. 1 iTunes Album Vietnam with the standout song Fever (co-starring with Tlinh, Minsicko) surpassing the 6 million listen mark. With Medicine: Detox, Coldzy continues to affirm his seriousness in music, while expanding his experimental scope with many genres from RnB drill to pop ballad.
After finishing this project, Coldzy revealed that he will temporarily take a break to prepare for new ideas with a thicker and more groundbreaking hip hop color.
