The program is organized by the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the Union of Cultural and Arts Associations of Daegu City (Korea).
At the opening ceremony, there was the appearance of Mr. Nguyen Truong Luu, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Mr. Lee Chang Hwan, Chairman of Daegu City Union of Cultural and Arts Associations and representatives of departments, branches and artists of the two cities.
The exhibition program of architecture, fine arts, and photography has the theme "Literary and art exchange between the Union of Ho Chi Minh City Literary and Art Associations and the Union of Daegu City Cultural and Art Associations".
The exhibition program aims to introduce to the public 59 works of art photography, 34 works of painting, 11 works of statues and 40 works of architecture.
The works reflect human life, cultural activities, nature, and architectural art of the two countries Vietnam and Korea in general, Daegu city and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Truong Luu said: "Ho Chi Minh City and Daegu are both industrial cities, with developed economies in each country. In particular, both focus on developing culture, literature and arts and preserving cultural traditions and national cultural heritage.
Exchange activities and promotion of art works will create momentum for the friendly relationship between the two cities to increasingly develop."
Besides, the art exchange performance program between Ho Chi Minh City and Daegu city is imbued with the cultural identities of Vietnam and Korea.
Korean artists bring traditional performances such as Pansori Simcheongg, Jindo drum dance, Seon Salpuri dance, child drum dance...
Vietnamese artists also brought special performances such as ca tru "Dao Hong, Peach Snow", folk dance "Southern Co Bong", T'rung instrument solo, Chau Van singing and dancing, and Xam singing. ..
Mr. Lee Chang Hwan, Chairman of the Daegu City Federation of Cultural and Arts Associations, hopes that this can help people understand more about the culture and art between the two cities and countries and respect those values.
