Recently, the actress appeared in the sitcom "In the House Outside the Alley - Youth Boarding School". In the film, Tuyen Map transforms into the role of a cheerful, kind but also sharp single woman.
According to the actress, since childhood she had dreamed of acting when watching the show "In the House Out of the Street".
However, when entering the acting profession, Tuyen Map realized that this job was not as simple as she had thought. Because acting is not only based on talent or skills but also has to be carefully calculated from each scene and each emotion to match the space and rhythm of the entire cast.
Tuyen Map used to be a preschool gift-giving teacher. At first, when studying at the University of Theatre and Cinema, she encountered many difficulties, especially financially because her father opposed his daughter's pursuit of the profession, so she decided to cut off all her allowances to put pressure. To have money to pay for tuition and cover living expenses, Tuyen Map diligently acted in films, performed comedies with her seniors such as Tiet Cuong, Thanh Tung, Mai Son...
In the early days of performing comedy, Tuyen Map received about 20,000 to 40,000 VND per show, sometimes up to 100,000 VND if performing at bars or big events.
Later, the actress received many shows and her income also increased. The peak of the season was in 2006, when the comedy show ran for 13 performances a day. At that time, the price of gold was only at 7 million VND, she could earn about 1 and a half taels of gold a day.
During the comedy period, the actress was suggested by her seniors to be Be Bu. However, after many confusion between the stage name Be Bu when improvising comedy and the stage name Tuyen Map when participating in TV series, the actress decided to choose the stage name Tuyen Map to both be easy to remember and stick with the image of a beloved audience.
