Stageaking literary works
The contest is part of a series of activities organized by the Hai Chau District Cultural - Sports Center in coordination with the District Department of Education and Training to respond to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21) and aim to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
The activity attracted 19 participating units with more than 500 young actors attending. In some schools, the number of child actors participating in a work is up to nearly 90 people, which shows the methodical and elaborate investment of the units.
This is also an opportunity for students to demonstrate their abilities, participate in translating profound humanistic lessons from literary works in school, promote their ability to express language, rich imagination, teamwork ability, and confidence when stepping onto the stage.
The students have shown works such as: De Men adventure, the legend of breast milk, enter the Independence Palace, fortune teller to see elephants, the legend of the fairy, the flower field, Tran Quoc Toan - the youth of the hero, the wind and the sun, the legend of the sky, the childhood of Uncle Ho, missing Truong Sa, the Dien Bien Phu campaign in 1954, and Uncle Ho Tinh Tinh - Tinh Tinh Tinh.
Intelligence and emotional contest
The schools have prepared carefully from costumes to scripts. Young actors are not professional but transform smoothly into each role. Along with their purity and innocent but sincere acting, they have translated literary works, stories, and fairy tales into emotional skits.
Like the story of "the legend of breast milk", the child actors touched many people in the scene of the boy in the story returning to find his mother but only seeing a big tree. The story "The toad sued heaven" has many humorous details when they give the lines and the modern music showing the audience surprised.
The music and images are also focused on by schools, cleverly integrated to push the performances to the climax of pride and emotion.
Participating in the Jury of the contest with working hours in the afternoon and evening, musician Nguyen Huu Cao Tam, member of the Executive Committee of the Da Nang City Music Association, said that he and the other members did not know what fatigue was.
“Because the repertoire is very good, interesting and attractive. The units have invested very carefully and monumentally. The content sticks to the literary works in the school. With us, each work has its own colors. The beauty of the competition is that they have just conveyed the content of literary works but also show the skills of guidance when there are people who lead, combine with the audience, the image is very attractive, the image is very attractive.
Viewers of many different ages still receive content. I think this is a very good program, very smart. Schools can study this form to include in schools, organize many lessons so that students can promote their abilities, and at the same time clearly understand literary works through the form of dramatization" - Mr. Tam said.
