Although they are new names to the big screen, both are assigned to take on roles with psychological depth and play an important role in the storyline. After the movie was released, the performances of Yen Dan and Xuan An received many positive feedbacks from the audience.
In the film, Yen Dan plays An - a talented woman but with inferiority complex after an accident. Prolonged injuries gradually make the character fall into psychological crisis, and at the same time face rifts in marriage when discovering her husband's betrayal.
From a woman full of emotions, An is gradually drawn into the vortex of jealousy, obsession and desire for revenge. This is considered one of the characters with the most complex psychological developments in the film.
Many viewers assessed that Yen Dan has quite fully portrayed the character's inner transformation journey. The actress portrays the feelings of tug-of-war between love, hurt and extremism in love.
This is also Yen Dan's debut film role. Previously, she was known as an MC, actress and had appeared in several television projects such as "Walking in the Bright Sky", "Going to the Land of Sunshine". To prepare for the role, the actress spent months practicing with the crew and spent about two hours makeup for each filming day to complete the character's image.
If Yen Dan has a certain acting experience, Xuan An is a completely new face of Vietnamese cinema. In "Oc muon hon", he plays Nghia - a young man who lives emotionally, sincerely and wholeheartedly loves the character Ngoc played by Tieu Vy.
Interestingly, Xuan An came to the film quite by chance. Initially, he only participated in supporting the casting process before director Dinh Tuan Vu gave him the opportunity to audition.

After a workshop with the film crew, the male actor gradually found harmony with the character. Although it was his first time acting in a movie and having to stand next to experienced faces, Xuan An still created his own mark thanks to his natural, restrained and emotional acting style.
