The Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City said that the summer activity in 2025 has the theme "Pride of Children in Uncle Ho City", designed for participants who are students, trainees of primary, secondary, high schools, vocational education - Continuing education centers, ... in the city.
Summer activities aim to educate revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle, life skills, awareness and responsibility of citizens towards society, arouse patriotism and national pride, contribute to the formation and development of students and trainees with qualities to meet the requirements of implementing the 2018 general education program.
In particular, the department requires summer activities to focus on training necessary skills for students and trainees; developing activities plans for clubs of diverse forms, attracting students and trainees to participate; not organizing cultural knowledge teaching during the summer. Cultural review in the summer is only for students and trainees with weak and poor academic performance.
The organization period is from May 31 to August 31, 2025.

Organize students and trainees to participate in creative experience activities, career guidance experiences, knowledge supplementation, talent training, guidance on social practice skills, injury prevention skills, escape; coordinate the organization of summer sports activities, popularize swimming, drowning prevention, etc.
Activities to raise awareness of traffic safety and environmental protection such as implementing the Environmental Action Month, including the "Green Living" Festival, tree planting activities, creating green areas "Joining hands for the city's green", along with providing propaganda documents and integrating environmental protection content into summer activities.
Students and their families will be propagandized and instructed to maintain environmental hygiene, participate in Green Sunday, educate about personal hygiene, environmental hygiene, practice "eating cooked, drinking boiled water", choose safe, economical and water-saving foods...
Activities to prevent drowning and teach safe swimming include: organizing safe swimming classes and popularizing swimming for students, prioritizing primary and secondary school students who do not know how to swim, especially in areas at high risk of drowning accidents.
Coordinate with specialized units to organize training for teachers and staff in charge of summer activities on swimming guidance skills, water accident prevention skills, first aid and emergency situation handling.
Strengthen propaganda and education on drowning prevention skills through forms such as: thematic activities, skill playgrounds, school broadcasting, visual propaganda inside and outside schools.
Encourage the establishment and maintenance of student swimming clubs, organize school-level and cluster-level swimming competitions and coordinate to participate in the City Student Swimming Festival in 2025.
