The delegation was led by Mr. Ville Tavio - Minister of Foreign Trade and Development. Accompanying the delegation was Mr. Keijo Norvanto - Ambassador of Finland to Vietnam. On the side of Ton Duc Thang University, there were Dr. Tran Trong Dao - President of TDTU, members of the Board of Directors and leaders of affiliated units who received the delegation.
During his first visit to TDTU, Mr. Ville Tavio expressed his good impressions of the formation and development process of TDTU, a successful and dynamic autonomous university education model in Vietnam, which has been listed in prestigious university rankings in the world.
TDTU fully meets the criteria of an internationally integrated university with 41 undergraduate and graduate training programs accredited and recognized according to international standards AUN-QA, FIBAA and ASIIN. The school has also been recognized as an educational institution that meets international accreditation standards HCERES (2018-2023) and FIBAA (2024-2030).
Mr. Ville Tavio also highly appreciated the efforts and dedication of generations of TDTU leaders in building the Vietnam - Finland International School (VFIS) with the desire to train a young generation according to integrated and advanced general education programs and methods. VFIS is also the first international high school affiliated with a public university in Vietnam, a bridge to bring Finnish general education methods to Vietnam, and become a symbolic image for the strong educational cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Finland.
On this occasion, Mr. Ville Tavio visited the VFIS campus and met with VFIS teachers and students and affirmed that he will always accompany and create the most favorable conditions for VFIS teachers and students to continue to teach well and study well at VFIS in the future.
