This is a special occasion for the school to welcome new students of the K18 course, and at the same time honor the efforts and achievements of generations of lecturers and students of the school.
Within the framework of the ceremony, in addition to the rituals welcoming the new school year and the opening speech, Gia Dinh University (GDU) also honored and awarded scholarships to 4 valedictorians of the faculties, each scholarship worth 100% of the first semester tuition fee equivalent to 12.5 million VND; awarded 56 scholarships to students with excellent academic achievements in the 2023-2024 school year.
At the same time, at the opening ceremony, VNPT VinaPhone Telecommunication Services Corporation also awarded 10 scholarships worth 10 million VND and 10 health insurance packages to GDU students.
This year’s GDU opening ceremony was held in the spirit of saving money to contribute to the cost of overcoming the consequences of storms and floods in the North. Previously, GDU also organized two fundraising campaigns to support flood victims in the North.
