Binh Dinh aims to become an important semiconductor and artificial intelligence industrial center of Vietnam by 2030.

Quy Nhon will become an AI center in the future

On May 20, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province announced that it had issued a plan to implement the Project on Developing the Semiconductor, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cyber Security in the province for the period 2025-2030.

According to this plan, the province focuses on building Quy Nhon City into a leading AI center in the country, aiming to develop a prestigious AI brand in the region. Along with that, the province aims to form at least 5 startups in the semiconductor sector; build 1 AI Innovation Center, promote extensive application of AI in state agencies and other fields.

In particular, Binh Dinh will develop Quang Trung - Binh Dinh Software Park into a concentrated digital technology industrial park, specializing in AI and semiconductors. Digital connectivity infrastructure will be focused on, with the goal of 5G coverage throughout the province, improving connectivity and data transmission capabilities.

The province also aims to build Quy Nhon into an important intersection on national marine optical cables, contributing to ensuring safety, security and smoothness for the national data system.

In addition, building a National Center for Big Data storage and high-performance computing in Binh Dinh, playing a fundamental role in the development of AI and other high-tech industries, contributing to sustainable economic growth and ensuring national security.

Towards a leading technology center in the country

With a synchronous transport infrastructure system and open investment attraction policies, Binh Dinh has become an ideal destination for high-tech investors, especially in the fields of AI, logistics and processing and manufacturing.

According to Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan, the province has been forming a technology ecosystem with modern research and application centers. The outstanding mark is the Quy Hoa Scientific Urban Area - Quy Nhon Creative Valley with an area of 242 hectares, with the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) as the core. This is where many of the world's leading scientists gather, including 9 Nobel Prize-winning professors and 1 Fields Prize-winning Professor...

In addition, a series of large technology projects are also being implemented such as: TMA Creative Park (10.25ha); FPT Technology expert research, production and training center complex in Quy Nhon (15.99ha); Binh Dinh Artificial Intelligence - Supporting Urban Area (93.24ha); Digital technology park concentrated in Long Van, Quy Nhon City (177ha, in formation).
