In this special space, instead of needles, medicine and familiar hospital beds, children can sit next to small, pretty desks, enthusiastically studying drawing, practicing notebooks, practicing reading. This place gives children the feeling of being in a real classroom, where their childhood dreams are still nurtured in the midst of a difficult treatment journey.
Mr. N.C.M, the father of N.L.M.K, shared: It is very meaningful when my child is hospitalized for treatment but still experiences this activity. On the opening day, I couldn't go to school like you, but the atmosphere here helped me to be more content and feel like I was still immersed in the school day. I was really moved to see my child play, be creative, and temporarily forget his illness. My family is very grateful to the doctors, Social Work Department and benefactors for giving us a special day like this.
MSc. Hoang Thi Bich Hanh - Deputy Head of the Department of Social Work shared: In addition to activities to provide spiritual care for patients, we always pay attention to children being treated as inpatients. The regular painting class held on the opening day of the new school year hopes to be a meaningful activity to encourage spirit, bringing relaxation, fun moments and an opportunity for children to freely create, explore colorful worlds and find smiles amid illnesses.
We hope that, through this activity, they will have more joy, optimism and a strong spirit to overcome challenges in their treatment journey. At the same time, we also hope to continue to receive the support and cooperation of benefactors and philanthropists to maintain and organize many other meaningful activities for children and teenagers during the year such as: Children's Tet 1.6, Mid-Autumn Festival... This will be a great source of encouragement, helping them to have more determination on their path to fight the disease".
