On the morning of September 5, in harmony with the opening atmosphere across the country, the Truyen Thuong School located on a small street in Phan Thiet ward, Lam Dong province held an opening ceremony for 75 students in special circumstances.

The small school was established in 1997, with only 3 classrooms, but teaches from grades 1 to 5. It is called the Charity School because the students here are orphans, children of migrants, children with disabilities, disabilities and children who have to drop out of school to work to make a living.

According to Mr. Le Thanh Hoang - Vice Principal in charge of the school, because there are only 3 classrooms, the school has to teach alternately: in the morning of grades 1, 2, 3, then let the students return so that in the afternoon there are classrooms for grades 4 and 5. They only study one session, the other session, many students even take advantage of selling lottery tickets to help their families. Teachers here teach all cultural subjects. The school does not have a large playground or functional classrooms.

"Every year, the opening ceremony does not require brilliant flower color, but there are instant noodles, rice, and gifts that the school mobilizes donors to give to students to reduce difficulties in life" - Mr. Hoang tearfully shared.
Although each student comes from a different background, they are all excited about the simple opening ceremony. On the connecting screens, students join in the joy of schoolwork across the country. The performances staged by the teachers themselves brought a bustling atmosphere at the beginning of the school year.

The youngest teacher at the school - Nguyen Thi My Huong (27 years old, Ham Thuan Bac commune) has been here for 2 years. Choosing to teach at this special school, she shared: During her poor childhood, she was helped and awarded scholarships by many people to continue going to school, so after teaching in Ho Chi Minh City, she returned to her hometown to contribute and love the disadvantaged students like before.
Ms. Huong expressed her hope that they will have the opportunity to study 2 sessions/day to learn English fully like in other schools.

The big concern of Mr. Le Thanh Hoang - Vice Principal in charge of the Charity School on the first day of the new school year and for many years is how to keep the number of students until the end of the school year. For many reasons, students here easily drop out of school.
"The biggest worry is that after long holidays like holidays and Tet, students often stay home from school. Because some students who have gone to other places come to rent with their families to make a living temporarily, during long holidays, the family often returns to their hometown and stays there. Therefore, teachers at the school often grasp the situation and try to mobilize parents to limit the number of students" - Mr. Hoang shared more.

At the opening ceremony, gifts from benefactors such as rice, boxes of instant noodles, and clothes were given to the children to help reduce difficulties and add motivation to go to school.
The opening ceremony is simple, but trust and love are still the biggest luggage that teachers and students of the School of Love send to each other.

Although there are many shortcomings, with patience and love, teachers are sowing the seeds of knowledge and hope, helping students have the opportunity to change their lives, continuing to write their seemingly fragile dream of going to school.
