This program aims to deploy and implement solutions to strengthen vocational orientation to suit the abilities and preferences of students in grades 8 and 9; thereby helping them have a plan in their studies, equip themselves with knowledge and skills to suit their favorite profession from an early age.
Following the success of the career orientation program for students, the school year 2023 - 2024, this year, the Standing Committee of the City Union. Ho Chi Minh continued to direct the Youth Employment Service Center to coordinate with districts 1, 12, Phu Nhuan, Go Vap, Hoc Mon, Binh Chanh and Can Gio organized a career orientation program for students in 2025.
This year, the program is held at many secondary schools in Ho Chi Minh City from now until July 12, 2025.
Before participating, students will take the multiple-choice test "Holland chooses a suitable major" on the program's online platform using their personal email accounts. The experience includes the following contents: discovering personality, learning about interests and passion for the profession, self-assessing one's own abilities. Students must complete the multiple-choice test at least 7 days before the program date.
After completing the multiple-choice test, students will receive an overview result with analysis of their talents, personality and occupational preferences to orient them to learn about appropriate majors.
Based on the survey results, the Organizing Committee will invite career guidance experts to divide students into groups of interests and career orientation. The groups will participate in interactive activities such as: choosing the right profession, guessing the profession through gestures, and describing work. These activities help students initially access professional concepts and better understand the professions in Vietnam today.
In addition, experts will share more about future career trends, supporting students to identify the right career for themselves to orient long-term development.
