With experience in raising two daughters and many years of research on psychological and social issues, the female artist brings in-depth assessments of her journey as a mother in the new era.
According to Meritorious Artist Hanh Thuy, the instinct to be a mother exists in all living things, but for humans, this role is becoming more and more complicated as society develops. Raising children is not only about physical care, but also the process of nurturing personality, thinking and emotions. She believes that modern life makes many mothers " lose their instinct", because they have to learn too many skills, from giving birth, feeding children to educational methods. Although beneficial, this also makes women susceptible to pressure from increasingly high standards.
The female artist frankly believes that social expectations, along with worries about income, appearance, parenting ability... make today's mothers suffer more burdens than the previous generation. Sharing about postpartum depression, Hanh Thuy commented that the underlying cause often comes from emotional loneliness. "Not being able to share or not being shared will gradually make mothers exhausted. Just find a positive words of encouragement, they have a foundation to move forward, she said.
Hanh Thuy herself raises her child mainly through emotions but always observes and learns from others and from her own mistakes. One issue that makes her especially worried is the abuse of technology devices by children. According to the female artist, the line of use of electronic devices needs to be set right from the beginning, because laxity can lead to many consequences such as depression, autism or reduced communication skills. However, she emphasized that parents must be exemplary: "You can't keep your phone all day and force your children to limit it".
Closing the program, the message sent by Hanh Thuy is: being a mother is not only based on instinct, but a journey of learning, adjusting and accompanying persistently every day.
