Originating from a music competition for children, Phuong My Chi quickly became a familiar name to the public thanks to her sweet voice, imbued with Southern character. But vuotching from her initial impressions, what has helped her maintain her own position in the hearts of the audience for more than a decade is her choice of a musical path associated with the traditional cultural flow.
Phuong My Chi has been steadfast in Vietnamese folk songs and cultural values. For her, music is not only a means to express personal skills or emotions but also a bridge between the past and the present, between traditional values and modern life that are constantly moving.
From there, music for Phuong My Chi does not stop at passion but gradually becomes a mission - a long journey to contribute to preserving, conserving and renewing the cultural values of the nation in contemporary life.
Sharing about her feelings about receiving this award, Phuong My Chi said that the award is an important milestone in her journey to pursue music, and at the same time, it is a recognition of the persistent efforts she has made for art over the years. In addition to her role as a performing artist, Phuong My Chi aims to develop music not only in the entertainment aspect but also as a means of connecting and spreading traditional human and cultural values. Her music projects in the coming time will continue to exploit folk materials, while combining modern elements to suit the tastes of young audiences, thereby contributing to preserving and promoting the national cultural identity in contemporary life.
