According to the organizers of the program "Thanh am Viet Nam - The Sound of Vietnam", singer Toc Tien will be the Vietnamese representative artist to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026.
Toc Tien will accompany musician Huy Tuan - Music Director and 5 creative teams to develop 5 new songs. The works include "Em Tien" by S•HUBE, "a to A" by VIZA, "Love always wins" by TINLE, "Kho gi?" by HIGHLUA and "Follow me" by M1 MUSIC.
Sharing at the press conference of the program "Vietnamese Sound", Toc Tien said that she sees this as one of the big challenges she wants to experience. The female singer admitted that she feels pressure when standing in the position of representing a country and preparing to step onto the international music stage.
Toc Tien also placed her expectations on the reception of domestic audiences. She expressed her desire for Vietnamese audiences to be proud of her performance before going international.
A noteworthy point of "Vietnam Sound" is that the program does not focus on finding a winning artist. Central artists are selected first, while the focus is placed on the process of composing, producing and selecting songs representing Vietnam.
Musician Huy Tuan plays the role of Music Director, accompanying throughout the development process of 5 works. According to the program orientation, Vietnamese identity does not necessarily have to be expressed by familiar cultural materials, but can be in the story, language, melody, emotion or how the artist tells his story on stage.
For Toc Tien, this journey is therefore not only about appearing on an international stage, but also starting from finding a song that is strong enough to connect with Vietnamese audiences.
All 5 songs of the 5 creative teams will be performed at the National Audition Night, broadcast live at 9:30 PM on October 3rd on VTV3. The finally voted song will continue to be completed, accompanying Toc Tien at the Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand on November 14th.
