On November 8, Can Tho Central General Hospital (CGA) in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Spine Association organized the 4th Spine International thematic conference, combined with the 30th scientific conference.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, BSCKII. Nguyen Minh Vu - Party Secretary, Director of Can Tho General Hospital emphasized that evidence-based medicine is the foundation of modern medical practice, helping to update the latest knowledge to improve the quality of treatment, health care and ensure safety for patients. Scientific research and updating advanced knowledge in diagnosis, treatment and care are key tasks of every medical staff, contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnamese medicine.
According to Dr. Vu, regularly organizing large-scale scientific conferences has helped the hospital develop strongly in the field of spinal surgery, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment specializing in Orthopedic Trauma for people in the Mekong Delta region.

It is known that the event gathered 26 leading experts from Japan, Taiwan (China), India, Malaysia and Vietnamese spine doctors; attracting more than 500 delegates who are leaders, experts, and doctors from medical facilities across the country and the Mekong Delta region.
At the conference, there were 29 lectures and in-depth reports presented by leading domestic and foreign experts. The reports focus on modern treatment techniques, less invasive surgical trends and post-operative care, contributing to expanding knowledge and updating clinical practice for the medical team.

Within the framework of the 4th spinal surgery training program at Can Tho Central General Hospital from November 6 to 9, experts conducted consultations, examinations, consultations and surgery on 04 cases of complex spinal diseases.
Accordingly, 1 case of Shiraishi C3-C4-C5 livelihood abscess surgery and part of C6; 1 case of cutting the L4-L5 rear-estate welding disc (PLIF)/slip loss of L4/5 lumbar ligament, narrowing the lumbar spinal canal to compress the nerve root; 2 cases of injection to relieve cervical spine pain due to neurological disease.
