Hai Duong - More than 17.5 billion VND from the local budget will be spent by Hai Duong on training and developing medical human resources in 2025.

Implementing Resolution No. 39/2024/NQ-HDND of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council on policies to support training, attract and treat medical human resources, the provincial Department of Health has issued a training plan for 2025 with a total budget of more than 17.5 billion VND from the local budget.

According to the plan, in 2025, the entire Hai Duong health sector will have 175 doctors supported with postgraduate training fees, 47 doctors supported once after graduating from the postgraduate program, and 52 medical staff supported with university training in medical doctors. In addition, 260 staff will participate in continuous medical knowledge updating classes, basic and in-depth training in specialties.

This policy aims to improve the quality of public health human resources, meeting the requirements of people's health care in the new period. The goal by the end of 2025 is to strive to achieve a ratio of ≥15 doctors/doctor/ten thousand people, ≥5 university pharmacists/doctor 10,000 people, ≥54% of doctors with postgraduate qualifications and 100% of commune, ward and town health stations have doctors working there. The health sector also aims to expand specialized technical services, requiring the health team to have a suitable practice certificate.

Training is closely linked to the human resource development orientation of each unit and the entire sector. Cadres supported in training must sign a commitment to responsibility with the employer after completing the program. The entire training support process will be carried out publicly, transparently, to the right subjects and standards, ensuring effective budget investment.

This is an important step for Hai Duong to build a high-quality public health system, capable of meeting the requirements of caring for and protecting people's health in the new situation.
