The Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society will provide advanced first aid training to 300 more pharmacists at Pharmacity from now until the end of 2024. The Society will also provide basic first aid training to 40 Grab drivers of the 247 rescue team.
Pharmacists and Grab drivers will be certified by the Association to be able to apply first aid knowledge and expertise to serve the people.
Urgo Foundation will sponsor first aid backpacks and first aid kits for the program.
According to Mr. Pascal B. Auziere, representative of Urgo Foundation, pharmacists are experts with specialized knowledge in medicine and public health, along with Grab drivers who are subjects with high traffic levels on the road. Equipping them with first aid skills is the fastest way to bring first aid services closer to all people. The success of the program "Timely First Aid - Safe Traffic" is directly measured by the number of people who will access first aid in 63 provinces and cities of Vietnam, so taking advantage of the network of more than 1,000 Pharmacity pharmacies nationwide helps the program achieve its goals.
