Quang Tri - The program took place on August 4-5, supporting examination and free surgery for children with disabilities aged 0-16 in the province from August 4-8.

On July 25, the Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital (Quang Tri) said that it will coordinate with Center II (under the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children) and plastic surgery experts from many central hospitals to organize a free screening and surgery program for children with disabilities from 0-16 years old in Quang Tri province.

The program will have the participation of plastic surgeons from leading hospitals such as: Bach Mai, Central Eye, Xanh Pon, Hanoi Medical University Hospital, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy...

The examination program will take place on August 4 and 5, 2025 (from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) at Hall 1, Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital. This is a supplementary examination program for phase 1 in Quang Tri in April 2025.

Along with that, the surgical program will be performed from August 4-8, 2025. Children who have been screened from 20-25.4.2025 will be consulted with experts again, receive support tools (if any) and undergo surgery according to the consulted schedule.

For children who have never participated in the examination, parents can take their children directly during the 2 days of the program to have a screening examination, professional consultation, and assessment of the ability to undergo surgery or rehabilitation.

Types of disabilities that are accepted for examination and surgery include facial deformities (ly missed lips, cleft jaw, runny nose...); physical disabilities ( limb transformation, curved spine...); sequelae of burns, eye, ear - nose - throat deformities; sexual - anorectal abnormalities and benign tumors.

The program has profound humanitarian significance, contributing to helping disabled children have the opportunity to better integrate with the community.

The hospital encourages parents of children of all ages and in the above disease group to proactively contact and register to participate for timely support.
