On the morning of December 20, Hospital 199 received 10 people (both adults and children) from Sekong province, Laos for health care services.
At the Examination Department, Lao people are guided by medical staff to complete the necessary procedures and perform health check-ups. Mild cases will be specifically consulted by doctors and prescribed medication for home treatment. Notably, there are 2 serious cases related to internal neurology and digestion that are being consulted by doctors to advise hospitalization for timely treatment for patients.
Mr. PhouKhao - a member of the delegation - said: "We are very lucky that our people traveled hundreds of kilometers to get here and were warmly welcomed by the doctors and nurses of the hospital, arranged a place to rest, and guided in medical examination and treatment. We are very grateful to the doctors and nurses, especially Dr. Nguyen Huy Thong - who directly connected us here and the people of Se Kong always trust and choose Hospital 199 of the Ministry of Public Security as a reputable address for medical examination and treatment".
“Sekong Province of Laos is a poor province, the infrastructure and living conditions of the people are still difficult. Coming here, people enjoy the best medical services and medical examination and treatment. However, due to difficult traffic conditions, Lao patients are often given detailed instructions to take care of themselves after examination and treatment. People can even call the doctor to inform about the situation and get advice on health care” - Doctor Nguyen Huy Thong, Department of General Surgery - Hospital 199 shared.
In fact, in recent years, many medical facilities in Da Nang city, including Hospital 199, have constantly innovated their spirit and attitude in serving patients, invested in facilities, and improved their professional skills to better perform the examination and treatment of patients in general and patients from Laos in particular. This place is not only trusted by local people as a place for health care, but also helps people in districts/provinces bordering Laos to come for medical examination and treatment.
“The hospital always creates favorable conditions for Lao patients to come for examination and treatment. In 2024 alone, the hospital will receive, examine and treat nearly 200 Lao patients, especially from Sekong province,” Dr. Quach Huu Trung, Director of Hospital 199, added.
