Habits that can increase the risk of cancer

Many people worry that the habit of drinking milk tea, eating processed foods or staying up late for a long time can increase the risk of blood cancer.

According to BS.CKII Phan Minh Chau - Deputy Head of the Department of Hematology, Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, there is currently no evidence that these habits directly cause blood cancer. However, they can increase the risk of many other types of cancer if prolonged.

Doctors said that with milk tea, what is worrying is that products of unknown origin may contain many additives, colorings, fragrances and high levels of sugar and fat. Regular use easily leads to weight gain, obesity, metabolic disorders - factors that increase the risk of many chronic diseases and some types of cancer.

For processed foods such as canned foods, sausages, cold cuts... these products often contain a lot of salt, preservatives and additives.

In addition, the habit of eating a lot of fried foods, especially frequently used oil, can generate compounds that are not beneficial to health, increasing the risk of cancer, especially digestive cancer.

In addition to diet, prolonged staying up late is also a habit that needs to be changed. According to BS.CKII Phan Minh Chau, frequent lack of sleep causes the body to reduce resistance, affecting the process of cell recovery and repair. When the body does not have enough time to remove abnormal cells, the risk of many diseases, including cancer, can increase.

To protect health, doctors recommend that people choose foods with clear origins, limit sugary drinks, reduce consumption of processed foods, maintain adequate sleep and build a healthy lifestyle to reduce the risk of disease.
