Strengthening training for out-of-hospital emergency lecturers

The work of training out-of-hospital emergency lecturers aims to build a medical force ready to respond to emergency situations when natural disasters and accidents occur.

Continuing the program "External emergency lecturer training" between Kitahara Health Group (Japan), University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hanoi National University (VNU) and Hanoi Emergency Center 115 jointly organized the 3rd training course on Emergency Practice content.

The training course was attended by more than 40 staff and lecturers from the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting (PCCC) - Ministry of Public Security, E Hospital, Hanoi 115 Emergency Center, ...

The training course takes place from July 28 to July 30, 2025 at the Hanoi 115 Emergency Center, taught by lecturers from the Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Medicine and Pharmacy and experts from Kitahara Medical Group, Japan.

The out-of-hospital emergency training program aims to train lecturers of the Department of Emergency Medicine of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, VNU-HHHHN to become the core lecturer force, helping to expand the training of generations of lecturers according to the teaching standards of Kokushikan University, Japan.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Thu, Vice Principal of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, VNU-HHHHN, said that these are the first successes in the training of the Ministry of Emergency Medicine at the out-of-hospital hospital after more than a year of establishment.

In particular, today's training course was attended by officials from the Fire Prevention and Fighting University - Ministry of Public Security, who contributed to expanding the network and affirmed the important role of the out-of-hospital emergency sector.

The Department of Emergency Medicine in out-of-hospital care, with the support of Kitahara Medical Group, Kokushikan University, will soon complete the out-of-hospital emergency training program to include in teaching and admission.

Dr. Anh Thu also said that in the coming time, the school is aiming to build a pilot program to train basic emergency skills for students.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duc Chinh - Deputy Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine in Vietnam emphasized that in the context of the many shortcomings of the out-of-hospital emergency system in Vietnam, training a team of well- practiced, well-reacting and quick-reacting emergency doctors is one of the key tasks of the Department.

Not only stopping at standardizing professional skills, training work also aims to build a medical force ready to respond to emergency situations when natural disasters and accidents occur. This is a practical need of the health sector and also a social responsibility of medical training institutions.

He also added that the Department of Emergency Medicine at the outpatient hospital is gradually standardizing the curriculum in the direction of integrating theory, practice, and clinical simulation, while expanding domestic and foreign cooperation to approach advanced emergency models, suitable to Vietnam's conditions.

Within the framework of the cooperation program, it is expected that by the end of this year, the Department of Emergency Medicine and out-of-hospital care, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy will continue to coordinate with units to implement 2 training courses for lecturers from out-of-hospital emergency care sources.
