Quickly stabilize, serve people smoothly
After being transferred to the commune-level People's Committee, the health station system in the area quickly consolidated its organization, ensuring that medical examination and treatment activities are not interrupted.
At Dong Trach Commune Health Station, the unit currently has 44 officials and staff, including 6 doctors. Although newly operating under the new model, medical examination and treatment work has soon become systematic. The process of receiving and classifying patients is clearly organized.
Coming for examination at the station, Ms. Duong Thi Thuong, village 6, Dong Trach commune expressed her satisfaction with the dedicated service of the medical team.
I hope the station will continue to be invested in more modern equipment so that people can receive comprehensive medical examination and treatment, and not have to travel far" - Ms. Thuong shared.

Dong Trach Commune Health Station was established on the basis of 4 former health stations including Dong Trach, Duc Trach, Hai Phu and Son Loc. Immediately after the arrangement, the unit proactively prepared sufficient manpower, medicine and necessary conditions to serve the people.
From April 1 to now, the station has performed health insurance medical examination and treatment for nearly 500 people, and at the same time organized vaccination for more than 330 people.
According to Dr. Nguyen Van Duc, Deputy Director in charge of Dong Trach Commune Health Station, in the early stages of implementing the new model, some health stations still faced difficulties in personnel and facilities. However, thanks to proactiveness in operation, professional activities are still maintained stably, gradually improving service quality.
Gradually improve and enhance the quality of grassroots healthcare
Across the area, there are currently 77 health stations managed by communes. Although initially there are still difficulties due to changes in organizational model, human resources and management mechanisms, the stations have quickly stabilized, ensuring good implementation of the task of primary health care for people.
Mr. Vo Hoai Quan, Chairman of Dong Trach Commune People's Committee, said that this model helps people access medical examination and treatment services faster, reduce travel time, and improve service efficiency. Currently, the locality is planning and allocating land funds to develop health stations in accordance with the requirements of tasks in the new period. At the same time, the commune also reviews all existing equipment to develop investment plans suitable to the funding source.

For equipment with large value exceeding the balancing capacity, the locality will propose competent authorities to support in order to gradually complete the material facilities.
Ms. Diep Thi Minh Quyet, Director of Quang Tri Department of Health, said that after being transferred to the commune-level People's Committee, the health stations have basically stabilized operations, however, there is still a shortage of facilities, equipment and human resources.
To overcome this, the Department of Health is advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue regulations on coordination with the commune level, clarifying responsibilities in management and expertise. At the same time, the health sector is organizing surveys and proposing to allocate capital to upgrade and build new health stations.
The Department also advises on policies to attract, treat and train doctors to strengthen grassroots levels. Along with that, vaccination and disease prevention work continues to be maintained. The application of information technology is promoted, gradually deploying electronic medical records at the commune level.
The rearrangement of the health station system according to the new model is an important step to improve the quality of grassroots healthcare. When completed and synchronously invested, the stations will promote the role of health care tuyến close to the people, contributing to improving the quality of life and ensuring social security.
