Marcus Rashford has just moved to Aston Villa on loan last winter. From a mainstay of Man United, he lost himself and was not appreciated by coach Ruben Amorim.
At Aston Villa, Rashford adapted quite well to the new squad. Most recently, he and The Villa defeated Cardiff City with a score of 2-0. This result helped Aston Villa advance to the FA Cup quarter-finals, a tournament in which they have every chance to compete for the title.
Legend Roy Keane praised Rashford, according to ITV: Villa dominated every area of the game and it was only a matter of time before they scored. They could have scored more but Cardiff did well.
The game became a little more open and that worked for Villa. Marcus is very good at making assists. He had some luck in that phase, but only those of high class appeared in the right position. That goal was beautiful, but I think Rashford should have scored a few goals himself.
Against Cardiff, Marcus Rashford showed a comprehensive performance. In addition to 1 assist, he successfully made 3 passes, created 2 big chances and passed the ball with 85% accuracy. However, the former Man United star was unlucky to miss 2 scoring opportunities.
Since arriving at Aston Villa, Marcus Rashford has made 3 assists in 6 matches. More importantly, he has begun to influence the general playing style, different from the disappointment of his previous spell at Man United.
Asensio, who scored twice for Aston Villa against Cardiff, also praised Rashford: Rashford and I havent played together for too long, but I know what he wants to do and how far the pass goes. I am very happy to have Rashford and his other teammates in the squad.
