On January 17, the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long province surveyed and worked with petroleum and liquefied petroleum supply enterprises to grasp the situation of goods sources, serving production, business and consumption of people during the Lunar New Year and the coming time.
The whole province currently has 6 key businesses and distribution traders preparing sources of gasoline, oil, and liquefied petroleum gas to serve the increased demand during Tet, with reserves of about 50,950 tons of gasoline and 1,400 tons of gas, with a total value of more than 344 billion VND.
The survey activity is implemented within the framework of the market stabilization program associated with the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign, aiming to proactively supply essential goods, limit price fluctuations and contribute to ensuring social security.
According to the plan, the program fully prepares essential consumer goods and safe clean food; participating items must have clear labels and origins, standard quality, stable selling prices and timely reporting when the market fluctuates.

Through working, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan - Director of Vinh Long Department of Industry and Trade acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive spirit and responsibility of businesses in preparing and storing goods, especially gasoline and oil, to serve the consumption needs of Tet.
Leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade requested units to continue to fully prepare sources of goods, strictly implement listing and selling at listed prices, ensure technical safety in gasoline and oil business, coordinate supply and demand regulation, and limit local scarcity.
The program focuses on developing distribution systems in residential areas, industrial parks, communes, wards and traditional markets, especially prioritizing remote and isolated areas, helping people access essential goods at reasonable prices.
Along with traditional sales, businesses are encouraged to combine e-commerce, expand consumption channels, and reduce intermediary costs. In the Tet month, the province's total inventory increased by an average of 15–20% compared to the normal month.
