Masan builds strong brand, "showing off" Vietnamese flavors to the world

Building a strong brand that is trusted by consumers is a prerequisite for businesses in the retail consumer goods sector. Masan, with its leading position in the industry, is one of the few domestic businesses with a methodical brand building strategy, successful in Vietnam and making its mark in the international market.

Building a strong domestic brand

On December 20 in Hanoi, the MEATDeli brand - European-standard chilled meat of Masan MEATLife Joint Stock Company (a member company of Masan) was honored in the Top 10 Trusted Consumers in Vietnam 2024 - Agricultural Products, Food and Beverages, Retail Chains Group. This is the 5th consecutive time that MEATDeli has participated in this prestigious award.

In addition, Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company has just announced the top 10 prestigious companies in the food industry in 2024. In this list, Masan's branded fast-moving consumer goods segment, Masan Consumer, holds the number one position, in the sauce, condiment, and cooking oil industry group.

Companies are evaluated and ranked based on 3 main criteria: Financial capacity shown in the most recent financial report; Media reputation is evaluated using the Media Coding method (coding articles about the company on influential media channels); Survey of research subjects and stakeholders conducted in August 2024.

Earlier this year, CHIN-SU (a brand of Masan Consumer) was named in the category of “Golden Brand of the Youth” at the 4th Ho Chi Minh City Golden Brand Awards 2023 organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with Saigon Economic Magazine. Masan Consumer was named in the Top 32 excellent brands to receive the Golden Brand award.

Owning many strong brands and receiving prestigious awards is a testament to Masan's tireless efforts in diversifying products, creating and improving to meet the increasingly diverse needs of consumers.

Bringing Vietnamese brands to regional and international markets

Not only building a domestic brand, in recent years, Masan has also introduced unique flavors of Vietnamese cuisine to the world such as CHIN-SU chili sauce, Omachi noodles, Vinacafe coffee... These products not only have Vietnamese values, but also suit the tastes of users in each market, and meet the requirements of world export.

2024 marked a special milestone for CHIN-SU chili sauce when this brand reached the Top 1 on the Korean e-commerce platform Coupang. In November, CHIN-SU shone, appearing spectacularly on billboards in Myeongdong - the largest shopping paradise in Seoul, Korea and the Glico sign area - the symbolic location of the bustling culinary district Dotonbori, Osaka, Japan.

Most recently, CHIN-SU Pho Story has cooperated with Vietjet Air to bring instant pho combining the essence of traditional pho and modern technology to an altitude of 10,000 meters, conquering diners on all domestic and international flights.

In the context of Vietnam's agriculture constantly transforming with modern and sustainable production models, domestic consumers increasingly have access to clean and high-quality agricultural products.

Masan-WinEco's vegetable and fruit sector is a pioneer in developing high-tech, clean and sustainable agriculture in Vietnam. With the philosophy "Health starts with what we eat", WinEco has been affirming its leading position for nearly a decade.

On December 20, at the Trusted Products and Services Announcement Ceremony, WinEco was honored in the Top 10 impressive products and services of 2024.

In the third quarter of 2024, WinEco marked an important step in its journey to the open sea. More than 90 tons of glass lettuce were exported to Korea - one of the "difficult" countries and extremely strict with regard to export products. This event further affirmed the quality of WinEco's agricultural products.

In 2025, in addition to focusing on developing the domestic market, WinEco will continue to orient its exports to other potential international markets such as Europe, Japan and China. Next year is expected to be an important milestone, affirming the pioneering role of the enterprise in the domestic and international markets, while contributing to increasing the value of Vietnamese agricultural products.

Since the beginning of the year, in addition to the awards from the trust of consumers, Masan has been continuously voted and honored by many prestigious domestic and international organizations at prestigious awards such as: Best Place to Work in Asia 2024 (HR Asia Award); Top 500 Leading Enterprises in Southeast Asia (Fortune Magazine); Top 50 Most Effective Enterprises in Vietnam 2024; Top 50 Sustainable Development Enterprises 2024 (Investment Bridge Magazine).
