Notably, green production and the application of digital technology are becoming a main trend, aiming to promote a sustainable, resource-efficient, and environmentally friendly production model.
According to Ms. Ly Kim Chi - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Food and Food Association, the technology of the industry in Ho Chi Minh City is quite advanced, always leading the country, so large, reputable enterprises are all located in and produce. Regarding raw materials, there are 2 sources: imported and other units supplied to Ho Chi Minh City. Units in Ho Chi Minh City all cooperate with provinces and growing areas to provide raw materials to meet domestic and export needs.
It is expected that from now until 2050, the industry will aim for strong growth with an increase in value of 7.5-8.5%/year, the proportion of value added of the food processing industry in the entire industry will reach about 13.5-14.5%. The application of high technology continues to be promoted, the proportion of high-tech industrial value in the industry reaches at least 50%.

In particular, HCMC FOODEX is a typical event, marking important steps in the journey of efforts to support raising the level of the food industry in Ho Chi Minh City".
The 4th Ho Chi Minh City Food and Food Industry International Exhibition in 2025 - HCMC FOODEX 2025 will take place from April 16-19 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), District 7.
The event currently has more than 350 exhibition units introducing agricultural products, specialized processing products, spices, food additives, beverages, machinery and related fields in the food industry from Korea, Japan, China, Malaysia and host country Vietnam.
Organizing events connecting trade to introduce food products also contributes to creating conditions for domestic enterprises to introduce and promote products to international partners, thereby expanding the market and enhancing export capacity.
