The above information was announced by Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport Tran Quang Lam during a working session with Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc on the plan to deploy tasks in 2025, on March 4.

According to Mr. Tran Quang Lam, in 2025, the city will complete 16 major projects and packages.
Of which, An Phu intersection (Thu Duc City) has a total investment of more than VND 3,400 billion, and has now reached nearly 60% of the volume after more than two years of construction.

The entire project will be completed before April 20, 2025, helping to directly connect to Tan Son Nhat airport's T3 terminal (expected to be put into operation on April 30, 2025), reducing traffic pressure on Truong Son road.

Starting construction of many important projects
In addition to the projects under construction, Ho Chi Minh City will start 15 projects and packages in 2025 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc frankly acknowledged that investment in transport infrastructure was not really balanced before, when most of the resources were concentrated in the inner city, the East and Northeast, while the West and Northwest directions were still limited.
However, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc affirmed that the current planning has been adjusted more reasonably, creating a foundation for Ho Chi Minh City to own a modern transportation system in the next 5-10 years, closely connecting the road network and metro.
