On April 10, the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province said that agricultural export enterprises in the area are operating at an outstanding growth rate, with revenue reaching hundreds of millions of USD per year.
Currently, Gia Lai has about 30 enterprises participating in exports, notably prestigious names such as Vinh Hiep, Hoa Trang, Tin Thanh Dat. The province also attracts many large enterprises in the agricultural processing sector such as Hung Son, DOVECO, Nafoods... to serve fruit exports.
The European market currently accounts for about 60% of total exports, Asia accounts for 30%, the rest belongs to other markets.
With the strong growth momentum of the coffee and fruit industry, along with increasing the capacity of processing factories, the goal of achieving an export turnover of 1 billion USD in the near future is completely feasible for the province.
In addition to coffee and fruit, which are two main items (reaching 640 million USD and 150 million USD in 2024), other typical products such as honey, macadamia nuts, cashew nuts, bird's nest, green tea, etc. also have great export potential.
Gia Lai province currently has about 256,000 hectares of crops meeting VietGAP, GlobalGAP, Rainforest and Organic standards, creating a sustainable source of raw materials for the processing and exporting industry.
