On December 24, the Dak Lak Provincial Market Management Department informed that in 2024, the unit handled 746 violations (down 19% compared to 2023) in many different fields. The total amount of administrative fines was nearly 6.8 billion VND.
The violations mainly involved the sale of goods of unknown origin (139 cases); violations by organizations and individuals conducting business on e-commerce platforms (89 cases); violations of gold trading (85 cases)...
Mr. Mai Manh Toan - Director of the Market Management Department of Dak Lak province said: "In 2024, the unit has closely followed and seriously implemented the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods".
According to Mr. Toan, the units under the Market Management Department of Dak Lak province have strengthened management of the area, inspection and control of the market. Thanks to that, the market has been stabilized, while protecting the rights and legitimate interests of legitimate businesses and consumers.
During the past year, in Dak Lak province, there was no hoarding, shortage of goods or sudden price increases during peak times.
From now until the Lunar New Year 2025, the authorities will closely monitor market developments, stabilize prices, and ensure that there are no shortages, hoarding, speculation, or unreasonable price increases.
"At the same time, we focus on inspecting and strictly handling violations such as intellectual property infringement, smuggling and trading in goods of unknown origin," Mr. Toan emphasized.
