Following the direction of the leaders of the City Market Management Department on launching a peak period of inspection and strict handling of acts of trading in smuggled goods, goods of unknown origin, counterfeit goods, infringement of intellectual property rights and trade fraud, especially on the e-commerce platform, Market Management Team No. 16 has deployed many professional measures to combat and prevent violations.
Through reconnaissance work in the area and monitoring business activities on social networks, the Team conducted a surprise inspection of 3 business households in Cu Chi commune, Tan An Hoi commune and Phu Hoa Dong commune.
At the time of inspection, these establishments were selling many items such as cosmetics and fashion products with signs of counterfeiting trademarks protected in Vietnam; goods without labels, without labels according to regulations, without invoices or documents proving their origin.
The inspection team sealed and temporarily detained all violating goods including: 40 boxes of skin creams; 42 bottles of perfume (10ml/chai); 30 pairs of sandals; 23 long pants; 10 leather-phishing belts and a number of foreign-branded products. In total, there were 145 units of goods, with a value of VND 28,720,000.
Market Management Team No. 16 has prepared a dossier and submitted to the leaders of the Market Management Department to issue a Decision to sanction administrative violations against the above establishments for the act of trading in goods of unknown origin and origin and trading in counterfeit goods, handling them in accordance with the provisions of law.
