The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City has just issued Directive No. 02/CT-UBND requesting departments, branches and localities in the area to resolutely promote the peak of the fight, prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, infringement of intellectual property rights, especially items that directly affect the health of consumers.
The Directive strictly implements the directives of the Prime Minister and relevant ministries and branches, focusing on groups of goods such as milk, medicine, and health protection foods, to protect the rights and health of people.
The City People's Committee requests departments, branches, commune-level People's Committees and functional forces to coordinate in inspecting and closely monitoring production and business activities, especially in the network environment and e-commerce. Along with that, strictly handle violations, publicly announce organizations and individuals who violate and propagate to raise people's awareness in identifying real and fake goods.
The Directive also emphasizes the timely reward of organizations and individuals with achievements and strictly handles cases of lack of responsibility, corruption, negativity, lax leadership, direction, management, violations of the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.
